"3, 2, 1, Happy New Year! On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Matt Cail and I'm going to show you how to throw a New Years Eve party. The next step in your New Years Eve party planning is deciding what type of music to have on hand. Now, this can be a variety. The sky's the limit on what type of music you want to have. The big thing to keep in my mind is what type of mood do you want. Do you want more of a techno party, dance party, going on? Do you a little bit more of a chill smooth jazz? Do you want it more classical, classy, classic rock something at least 20-30 years old? These are the types of things you need to consider when you basically start perusing your CD collection or your online collection of music. Make sure you have a sound system at least available in one room so that you then have options to play your music on. There have been several parties I have attended where people didn't realize that people wanted to listen to music at all. At the very end, they go down the hallway begging their neighbor for some little teeny weenie stereo system, which nobody can actually hear or they're actually back to playing tapes, which sound all scratchy and horrible. Make sure you don't leave music till the last minute. In addition, it's okay to have some mixture of music. Perhaps you even have different parts of your party have different musical emphasizes. Maybe you have dance in one area and more chill music in another. It doesn't have to be all or nothing."
