How to Get Around After Armageddon

Video Preview

Summary: If Cormac McCarthy's post-apocalyptic novel The Road taught us anything, it's that you don't want to be stuck pushing a shopping-cart through the ashen landscape while avoiding predatory slavers and cannibals. In the attached video you'll learn how to choose and use an appropriate vehicle for doomsday survival.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

The first step to protecting you, your loved ones and allies met along the way is obvious. Find shelter and protect it. But after this basic necessity is seen to, find a vehicle. A motor-car, truck or monster-truck will allow you to sweep the immediate and distant areas around your homestead with minimal risk. It also gives you a leg-up on potential attackers.

  2. Step 2

Once you've chosen a vehicle (we use a classic Armageddon-equipped Deuce and a Half to demonstrate) you'll be ready to pick up stragglers, haul large game back to safety and as mentioned in the video, plow through a horde of zombies.

  3. Step 3

Ensure that your vehicle is always well tuned and that you check the oil. Another thing to keep in mind is that in the heat of battle or even the cool of nuclear-winter fuel can easily be forgotten. Never leave home without enough fuel to get you to your destination and back. Think of leaving your secure area as a sort of flight. You wouldn't try to fly over the Atlantic Ocean with half-a-tank of gas...so why risk it on the treacherous turf of the day-after-tomorrow?
