" Hi! This is Zak with Expert Village, and today I’m going to talk to you about what you should do if your printer’s cable isn’t quiet long enough to reach your computer. This is a common problem in places where you have small workspaces and your printer can’t be right next to your computer. If you have the ability to move your computer or printer closer to one another, that’s one option, but if you don’t, like as you can see here ours just barely doesn’t make it, you can use a USB extension cable such as this one. USB extension cable’s look kind of weird and different from normal USB cable’s because they have a plug on one end that resembles the one on the back of your computer. The way to use this is pretty simple. You plug your cable into the extension cable, but make sure that you don’t have the in backwards. It’s very easy to get USB cable’s turn the wrong way, so if it doesn’t feel like it’s going in don’t force it. Once you have your extension cable plugged in find the back of your computer and plug it into your USB port. Again, make sure that you have the plug facing the right way so that you don’t damage your computer or the cable. "
