"Hi! This is Zach with Expert Village and today I am going to walk you through burning a DVD rewritable today. After inserting the DVD into your system and choosing open finder as your default action, you will see an icon on your desktop for the DVD. The DVD rewritable holds much more space than regular CD writable or CD rewritable disks. DVDRW holds 4.7 gigabytes of information and it is great for burning home movies and backing up your system. The advantage to a rewritable disk is that it allows you to constantly update the information and the contents on your disk as well as you can burn your disk for one time use and then completely write over whatever you had on there before and to format a rewritable DVD after you burned content. Open your finder window for your hard drive and click on the application. From here you can access the utilities folder which has a lot of useful system utilities including the disk utility. The disk utility will show you your DVD and your list of media and clicking on that brings up a lot of different options. One of those is erase and you can use the erase option to quickly and safely remove all the information from your DVD rewritable media. "
