"This is Zach with Expert Village and today I am going to be talking to you about burning DVD's. Most DVD's on the market today are standard format DVD's which can hold up to 4.7 gigabytes of information. DVD's are great for burning home movies and for storing large amounts of data for backup. To burn a DVD insert the disc into your system's CD Rom drive and DVD burner drive. Usually they are the same drive on the system and finder will open a prompt asking you what you would like to do with this DVD. What we are going to do right now is just open finder which is the default action. This creates a blank DVD icon on your desktop. Dragging files onto the DVD is the easiest method of adding data so all you would have to do is drag your files onto your DVD;'s icon and once you opened it on finder, you'll see all the files you currently have residing on your DVD and to actually put them on there you hit the burn button at the top of the file listing and finder will burn your DVD.
