" Hi! I’m Mike with expertvillage.com. Today what I’m going to do is show you how to find the IP address on your Mac in order to be able to share files with another Mac. So we’re going to pull up our system preferences over here. Under our system preferences we need to check under internet network and double click on the network. Within the network itself, you need to check your TCPIP settings. Within here simply labeled IP address is your IP address. It’s going to be a set of up to three number that will not go over 255. Somewhere between 0 and 255 for each of the four and they’re separated by dots. The first three are going to need to be identical within your personal network here at home that you’re trying to share files between."
