" Hi! I’m Mike with expertvillage.com today what I’m going to be doing is talking about some of the reasons why your internet connection may not work. Here’s our handy dandy cable modem, which looks all well and good. We’ve got a proper connection to our internet service provider. We seem to be getting data transmitted back and forth, as we can see with intermittent blinking lights. A lot of times the answer is really simple. This tab on the bottom of the cable here, that is suppose to hold it in just like a phone line, will often be broken or come loose. Always make sure that it’s connect properly and that it’s plugged in completely. Even if that’s clicked in properly, you may not be able to get your favorite website, your sports scores, your weather, what have you. What’ll happen is behind the desk will often get a cable fray where the desk pinched it or someone’s foot or a chair because there’s often a huge loose bundle of cables behind you know folks desks and dark corners that they don’t see. So always make sure to check each cable and replace it with another one when trying to troubleshoot and figuring out exactly why you can’t get your email or check the weather."
