"Hi I'm Mike Purdy with Expert Village and we're editing videos with sony vegas next we're going to do some cropping I'm going to take this image this video image and it could be cropped just like a still photo would be cropped. Only it's a little bit different with video this is the crop tool and we are able to just click and drag this, this is left click and drag. Now see the timeline these are called key frames we have created a key frame by simply just particular point on the video copping it, if we go back to the previous key frame hit this, we go back to the time in the video. So here is the effect of what we have done we have started out at this full frame we playing from the beginning and we have zoomed in, now let's say this point here we want to zoom back out. Click back on this right click and go to restore bring it back, here's what our key frames look like back here remember this is full frame, then overtime it goes to zoomed in and then over a little more time it zooms back out. Now what we've done is we have announcing zoomed in zoomed back out, let's say we wanted to hold it there for a while, this is where we zoomed in this is the key frame, right click, copy, and then somewhere else down the timeline say right here we paste. So what it will do is it will start out full frame here at the beginning it will zoom in till it hits this and it will stop, now it will hold there because it hits another window thats identical to it up here, then it will fade back out."
