"Hi! I'm Mike Purdy once again for Expert Village and we are talking about paint shop pro and this is the black and white image that we used an a print add; we'll zoom in on it. If we want to add a little color first we have to do since this is a monochrome image, you see that the color pallet over here only gives us black, whites and grays. If we want to add color, we have to change the color pallet and so what we will have to do to increase the color depth of this image so that instead of seeing it as a two color image, just black and white it will see it as much more colors. So we increased the colors here and we noticed that we have our color pallet. One way to add color would be to select the paint tool and if you notice the color pallet here that we've got, if we left click we get that color, this is way too big. Right click on tool options, let's reduce the size of the brush. So if we left click we get the color on the left here. If we right click and paint we get, what? We get the texture. Why? Because this is set to textures. This is left and this is right What we need to do is click on the little arrow and change this back to paint solid. You have solid, you have gradiance and you have patterns. So if I right click, I wind up painting that color. So if you want to add color to this, we could do it that way. "
