"Hey everybody! My name is Matt and I'm speaking to you on behalf of Expert Village. When you edit a picture in edit view, it doesn’t actually change the source file. I'm going to go ahead and open up a picture here. Just click adjust and make it look very different from the original just so you can see what happens. I added like a green tint here and blue it out. I'm going to go down and click done so it applies it to my picture. You'll see up here in library view how it looks. If you right click on that and come down and click show original file, it's going to show you the original file on your hard drive. You can see it doesn't actually effect the original file. What you can do is after you've added your effect to your picture, if you want to actually add it to the original file your hard drive. Come up to file and come down to export. It's going to take you here. Make sure that the file export tab is selected. You can choose the format that you want to export it to. Usually you're going to pick JPG. You also have the option of exporting to TIFF or PNG. You can select the size. I'm going to leave it at full size images. The file name. I come down to export and it's going to ask you the file name you want to save it as and where you want to save it. Whenever you're happy with that, just click okay and it's going to save your picture out with all the adjustments that you've made onto your hard drive."
