How To Rotate & Resize Photos in Paint Shop Pro

"Mike Purdy here for Expert Village and there are many ways to do edit in Paint Shop Pro. Now here are a couple of things we can do with an image while we have it. We can flip it, make it upside down. We can mirror it back and forth, mirror. We can rotate it, this would be left ninety degrees. Image, rotate, right ninety degrees to put it back where it is. We can resize the image, say we only want it fifty percent of what it is, it's too big, and later on we'll get into why we want to, may want to resize the image. Doink, and we have actually resized the image, not just the view, but the image itself has been resized. And you can undo that resize as well. We can also change the canvas size. In this case what it means is that the canvas that the image is sitting on would be a different size. Right now it tells you that our image is 459 by 404, these are pixels. Now if we want to center the image into a white background say, we can make this 469 and tis 414, so we've got 10 pixels around each side, each edge of the picture. We can center the image in there, click OK and you'll see, see this orange here is actually a border on the picture which could wind up being a white border. You can change the canvas size any way you like. If you want to have this 500, this might be a better choice, 500 by 600 let's say. And say you're fitting it to a website that is a certain size, click OK. Now we have the image here but we have the border around it. Now the reason this is yellow, that's the actual size of the canvas and we have the picture centered in it."
