"Hi! I’m Ross. Thanks for visiting expertvillage.com. What can we do with computer files? Let’s find out. In this clip, let’s talk about renaming a file. From Windows Explorer, I’ll go up and right click the file I want to rename, go down to rename, and left click to select it. You’ll see the name is now in edit mode; it’s all highlighted. Since it’s all highlighted, as soon as I start typing, it will delete everything. If I wanted to rename it just by changing the ending, I could simply click at that location or use my arrow keys in the keyboard to move there. Let’s say this is gardening and I modified the document somehow and I want to put a date on it. I’ll just put a hyphen and put 2006. Now, I just press enter or click in a open area and that is the new file name. You can also click on the file if it’s already highlighted and it’ll go into edit mode. Another way to enter edit mode is if the file is highlighted to press F2 on your keyboard, and now you’re in edit mode."
