"Hi! I’m Ross. Thanks for visiting expertvillage.com. What can we do with computer files? Let’s find out. In this clip, I’ll talk about finding a lost file. Typically, you would use the search command, right click, go to search, and you have parameters here. If you know the file name enter it. Moon JPEG, it’s fabulous picture you took last night and you can’t find it. You will look for everything that matches that description. You can also search for it another way. Let’s say that the file you knew was created only in the last couple of days or that it was on the system in the last of couple days. You have options down here about when was it modified. Click on that, within the last week, within the month, or you can put exact dates if you like. You could also do that with the size. A word or phrase in the file. For instance, let’s say you knew something had to do with taxes. You put taxes there and depending on what folders you’re searching in, I’m searching in my personal folders, and every folder below it with all its files. If I click search it will go ahead and look through all the text within those documents, and bring up the matches here. Then you can go from there "
