"Hi! I’m Ross. Thanks for coming to expertvillage.com, let’s begin. What is the task bar, the system tray, and the quick launch bar? Well, they’re all contained within this bar here that is commonly known as the task bar, but this is really broken into sections. This is the task bar here. I’m going to open up windows explorer with the windows E key, and you can see it’s down here and is running. I can left click this and it will minimize. Click it again, and it’ll come back to its normal state. I also can right click on it, and I have some options here. I can even close the program from here. You’ll also see that this is the system tray, which contains your time. Then there are other little icons down here for programs that are running. So if it’s programmed to show a system tray icon, it’ll place it down here. On the other end, by the start button, is the quick launch. You can place icons down here to launch programs that you use frequently. Sometimes when your program is running, it’s hard to get to the icons on the desktop. This is a good place to put the ones you run often. You have a set of double arrows here for other programs. The reason why they’re there is because there isn’t enough room to show them there."
