" Hi! I’m Ross. Thanks for coming to expertvillage.com, let’s begin. What is the run command and why would you use it? The run command is found when you click start and you’ll see at the bottom here run, left click. Now, you can type a name of a common program. For instance, CALC. I press Enter, which will push in the OK button. It brings you up the calculator. So, you can do your calculations and then close the program, or there is a common program that comes in the Windows OS. It’s called notepad, a basic text editor. So, I can type, this is a lovely day. I can save that if I like. Another OS included program is a word pad, a little more sophisticated. The run command allows you to access programs by typing it directly into that line."
