"Alright, welcome to the After Effects basic training series on Expert Village again. I'm Ryan with Make Productions in Austin, Texas. And, what we're going to be doing here, on this video, is talking about how to link After Effects projects. Now, sometimes it can be frustrating, because you may want, you may be working on a project, and then all of a sudden you realize you'd like to pull something into your project from another project. And what happens is, After Effects is going to ask you to close the program you're in and open another one. And that's not what you want to do. So let's not do that, there is a way around this. And it is, by simply importing the After Effects project; you can access the project from the project window. So, what we're going to do here, is right click in the project window or control click and import the file. Then, what we're going to do, find the After Effects project file that we want to work with. Let's say, let's work with this one. What After Effects is going to do is create a folder here that contains our After Effects project. And what we can do, is open the composition, and pull whatever elements from this project in composition to our original composition."
