"Alright, so now that we have organized our project in after effects we're going to organized the project outside of after effects. The way we do that is by setting up some organized directory and file structure so that all your assets can be organized and accessed easily. What I've done here is taken a folder, named it after effects and I've placed all my after effects projects inside of this folder. What I have also done is created a project template directory and inside this directory we'll find a set up that's very similar to the one that we created in after effects. This is designed to keep all your assets which after effects is referencing. Again, remember, after effects does not import any of the media it simply references the files that you point it to. After effects will be looking into this directory to see files and manipulate them in your composition window. What we're going to do here is basically set up a file structure that mirrors the one that you have in your project window. So, we have a folder for documents, images, video, 3D if you have any modeling, art work and then we have a after effects projects folder. What I've done in this project template is created a after effects project and if we open that up we're actually going to see that the project window contains all of the folders that are project template does here. Instead having to create all the folders from scratch all you need to do is save your project template in the after effects directory."
