"Tony from expertvillage.com and we are going to continue with our Mac segment here. I'm going to show you how to take a external device so right here is the external hard drive and hook it up to your Macintosh. Very simple. This is a firewire hard drive you can also use USB which is fine. USB will not be good if you are doing any type of video work or audio. Audio would probably be able to handle a USB or USB would probably handle the audio but, won't hand video. So you are definitely going to need firewire hard drive to do video, dvd stuff, anything that requires a fast data rate. That is what the firewire is. It is a faster data rate then then USB. It is very very handy to have. So pretty much I got my hard drive right here and I'm going to show you on the back is I have two firewire connections. So I have two drives that I'm going to hook up together. So you are going to hook up one drive into this port and then the other firewire would come out of this port and into your computer. So I'm just going to turn this around and put it down. Basically this are the firewire cables right here. I have one that is blue in here will go will be bring into my Mac computer to the tower. This one is plug into another external hard drive. So basically it just takes both of these and they are very easy to hook up. You just push them right in. Like that and I have my ac adapter. So I put that right there. Okay it is plugged in and it is ready to go and I'm just going to plug in my the other firewire in into the computer and by plugging this one in that means that both of these firewires, both of these hard drives are not connected to my Macintosh computer. Very simple. "
