" Hey! Tony from expertvillage.com how are you doing? Okay we have talked a little bit about the dock also feature in the dock is a your garbage can which mine is empty but if it was full it is pretty easy to empty which kind of wipes out the files on your hard drive you want to get rid off. You just you know hold down the mouse button on the trash and then empty trash comes up. You just select empty trash it would dump your garbage, your files, your unwanted necessary files that you don't need any more. So that is pretty much of that now lets move on to creating a shortcut for your applications and with that its pretty easy. Now I don't use a whole lot of short cuts like I said before I usually just use the dock and a shortcut it Mac world is called is known as alias. A alias is the same thing as a short cut it will open a application with it or if you are network with other computers or you know whatever else you could create aliases to different computer servers that you might need to access or any other computer that are networked to your Macintosh. But I just have one computer so I'm just one guy. I only use one computer no networking to other computers for me. So I'm going to show you how to create your short cut or your alias as it is known. Lets say I want to create a alias of lets see of A pack so I'm going to go up to my A pack which is my recorder for my DVD studio pro and all you got to do is in Mac world is you know a lot of people might use a right mouse button. I only have the original mouse so basically just hold down control on your key board and then you click and hold down the mouse button on your mouse and then it will come down where it says make alias. So I just select that and make alias and whola! My alias is right there simply called A pack alias. I take the alias and I just drag it onto my desktop just like this. And there you go done. "
