Summary: How to use toolbars and shortcuts in Internet Explorer and Firefox; learn more about web browsers in this free instructional video.
"Hi! I'm Gary for Expert Village. Firefox has a really nice way of customizing the browser. We can add and subtract anything from our tool bar very easily. We do this by going into view and in view we have the tool bars option and then in the tool bars menu, we click on customize. Now this new window opens up basically with a bunch of new icons for each of the tool bar functions. All we have to do is just drag what we want to view onto our tool bar and it works the same way if we want to remove anything from the tool bar. We can just drag it back into this customized tool bar window. So we can add and subtract features in our tool bar really easily and we can also change the look of our tool bar easily. So it is a really nice feature and there are a lot of functions over here that is very useful just to look through there because on the default tool bar there could be many options that don't appear. Once we go into your customized tool bar menu, you will see you have a lot of options and a lot of different things you can put on your tool bar to make your browsing go much easier much smoother and it could be really helpful. There is also a nice short cut feature in Firefox which is the same as we saw in Explorer which is putting in just the main part of the web address that you want to go to. If we hit control enter, Firefox will automatically put in the http header and also the .com footer on the beginning and end of the words that we put in. So therefore we don't have to type in the entire web address name. We can just put in the main name and hit control enter and Firefox will complete the web address for us. "
