"Hi, I am Gary for Expert Village. Our Outlook calendar should automatically show us holidays on the appropriate dates. Here we see that holidays for 2007, we see that December 25th there is no holiday listed here. So let me go ahead and show you how to put in automatically all the holidays for the current year. What we are going to have to do is we are going to have to look to certain file that is located in the Outlook directory. So go ahead and search your hard-drive in the C, in the main drive under program files and look for Outlook. So once we are in the office, my program is Office 11, whatever version of office you are running will be listed there. We go to the 1033 file and inside there we should have our Outlook file which is called Outlook.hol and here we don't see the extension listed but when my cursor is over it you can see that it says Microsoft Office Outlook holidays. And I go ahead and I click on this file. So we see that opens up a little wizard. If you don't see it right away after you double clicked on it, it might be because it is behind a window. It is a small window, so sometimes it is hidden. So we go to the add holidays to calendar and we go ahead and we click location of the holidays that we want to import. In other words we are going to, in my case I am going to load all the holidays that are observed in the United States. I am going to check that and hit OK and now we see that there was a quick green status bar that showed that it was loading and we see that the holidays have been successfully added to your calendar. So now we go ahead and click OK. Now if we go back to our calendar, we see now that it automatically ended up updating all my dates. So we see now December 25th has the holiday listed and that is the case for all of the holidays throughout my calendar. If I go to November, I can go ahead and find out when Thanksgiving is going to be. We see here, November 22nd, we see Thanksgiving Day. So all my holidays now are updated."
