"Hi, I’m Gary with Expert Village; let’s see how to change the look a little bit of our worksheet, let’s say first of all we would like to make our text bigger. We saw that over here when we made our text bigger we needed to increase the size of that row. Now how would we increase the row, or all the rows in our worksheet? Not just one row at a time, but actually the default height of each row? So we would go ahead and select the rows that we would want to change the height and then we would go over here into format and click on “row” and we have options here. We have options to change height, we have options to hide that row, let’s say that we’re we are doing a worksheet and these particular rows pertain to salaries and we don’t want each individual person who is going to view the worksheet to see everyone else’s salary. So we can hide, actually hide individual rows for, and print them with each row hidden and then alternating which rows are hidden for each worksheet that we give to the different people. So in our case we are going to manipulate the height of each row and we’re going to come up with a small window here that asks us what should the height of each row be? Now the default is 12.75 points so that is going to fit comfortably, our text of ten points, so the height of each row is 12.75. But let’s say that we want to use an eighteen point font so we’ll go and we’ll change this to twenty so that we will have enough room for our font and then we will hit ok. Now the row size we’ll see increase and now while it is still selected I’m going to go ahead and change my font size to eighteen and we’ll see that it fit’s in comfortably except that here the length needs to be changed. So we’ll just go ahead and move that, push that column over a little bit so that we can see the, we can see the entries, but as far as the row height it seems pretty comfortable and all the numbers fit in without being cut off on the top or the bottom, so that’s how we change the height of each row."
