Summary: How to change transitions in Microsoft PowerPoint; learn more about making digital presentations in this free instructional video.
"Hi, I'm Gary for Expert Village. Now that we have a few sample slides in our presentation. We can go ahead and change the transition, which is the way that the slide changes from one to the next. So, for example if we go ahead and click on the first slide and I'm gonna go onto my right hand side and click on the, make sure that the slide transition is showing, that menu. So, when it is I'm going to go ahead and select a type of transition that is gonna go from the slide that is selected, to the next slide afterwards. So let's do a checkerboard across transition, and we see that it gave us a sample. Here, we can go ahead and choose the speed of the transition, whether it should move faster or slower. We see that was a little quick, we're gonna keep it on slow. We also have an option to go ahead and change the way that the slides in the final presentation, the way that they changed. So either we set a time duration on each slide and have it run automatically. Or, we go ahead and choose the "on mouse click" option and therefore each slide will change everytime we click the mouse. So, if we're sitting in front of a computer with a projector, and the projector is on a large screen we can sit at the computer and just go ahead and see the presentation on the computer and click each time we want the slide to change. This is also where you can go ahead and apply a sound for each transition, so as the transition is happening we go ahead and we can hear any kind of particular sound like a applause, or arrow, or a bomb sound. All these different little sound affects, but they liven up a presentation that maybe when you come to a positive piece of news, you can add in the applause sound during the transition as the people were clapping on hearing the news. There's alot of cute ways that you can liven up your presentation with the audio files that are already attached. They come with the powerpoint program."
