"Hi, I am Gary for Expert Village. Outlook has a nice feature that lets you send a read receipt to the person who gets your email. In other words when he or she opens up your email, they will be asked to send back a read verification that will let you know when they have opened up the email or when they have read the email. And this is very useful because sometimes you are sending important information that is, that there is a time factor involved and you need to know if that person got the email or not and if he saw, if he actually opened up the email and read it. So, I am going to show you how to send, create a rule and it is going to create a type of configuration with an outlook that will let you automatically send the read receipt but only to either certain recipients or attached to emails that have certain content and that way not everybody will receive this read receipt because it is not necessary that anyone you send an email to should have to send back a verification showing that they have read your email. So I am going to show you how to set it to either certain recipients or to certain information that is contained in the email. The way we do that is we go to tool and we go down to rules and alerts and we are going to click on New Rule and on top we are going to start from a blank rule, so we click that. And then we have the option to check messages after sending. That is going to be the rule that the rule that we have created is going to pertain to the after sending of the message, so we are going to create that."
