on 5/26/2009 Matt:Great job on this video - clear, simple to follow, made sense. Did a bunch of search on ducking before you put it into plain english! Thanks. Reviewed most of your other videos and found them equally useful. Have told others about eHow.com as a place to search.Got my first draft podcast done after watching your video! Now, I'll need to replace the Beatles jingle before I publish....Great job!Byron Van Arsdalewww.PowerConferenceCalls.comTwitter: @headset

"Hey everybody my name is Matt and I am speaking on behalf of Expert Village. Alright another cool thing you can do with Garage Band is you can create podcasts very easily. To do that all you have to do is click on new podcast episode at the splash screen of garage band. I am going to name my podcast my first podcast and create and it is going to set up everything for you. And you should by now be familiar with this view but you will notice that a couple of new tracks. Over here you've got our podcast tracks, a couple of voice tracks and you've got a jingles and a radio sound track. We will get into those a little bit later. To record your podcast, all you have to do is arm your track and hit record and you should know how to do this by now. As you can see this it is recording and I've got the waive form printing out in real time. Whenever you are done, just click the play button and you've recorded your podcast. Whenever you are done with the vocals, you can add chapters to it by clicking and dragging your artwork and you can trim those up like so. After you have added your titles, you can come down here to the bottom and you will see down here. If you click on title and you can come down here and edit and give the title a chapter. You can even put URL so if somebody is listening to your podcast through itunes, they will see a URL title which they can click on and it will take them directly to a web page. Also another thing you can do, is you can click and drag your photos over here to episode artwork window and what this is going to do and if somebody is listening to your podcast on their ipod, this will show up on their ipod so that they will know what they are listening to.
