How to Add Foreground to iStopMotion

"iStopMotion is a registered trademark of Boinx software, and I am in no way affiliated with Boinx software. In this lesson, I'm going to teach you how to add a foreground image to your animation in iStopMotion. If you want to come down to the bottom right and select the compositing tab. Then at the top right, make sure that foreground is selected. You've got some presets down here that you can choose from. I'm going to select the binocular. If you want to click set as foreground, that's going to set that image as your foreground. It's going to look like you're looking through binoculars here. There's a couple of different types of presets you've got. If you want to change that, you just click the one you want to use and select replace foreground. That's automatically going to change it for you. There's even one called aquarium. If you select that, it's not just a black or white. It's kind of got an image overlay there, as you can see. If you want to remove your image, just click remove foreground. You can even make your own if you know how to use an image editing program. You can go in there and create a mask. Just make sure you save it as pmg, and then come up here to source. If you save it as your desktop, click there, and then click the one you want to add and use that. You can even overlay Quick Time movies if you want. I've got this clip of me. That's how you add foreground images to you animation."
