How to Configure Camera in iStopMotion

"iStopMotion is a registered trademark of Boinx software, and I am in no way affiliated with Boinx software. In this clip, I'm going to be teach you how to setup an external camera, seeing as how iStopMotion is exclusively for the Mac. It's going to default into your built in side camera, but you're going to want to use a different camera so that you can move it around. Up here on the top right it says source. Below that it says device. If you click that and select your external camera that you have plugged in. If you don't see it, you might have to restart. You might have to turn off iStopMotion, plug it in, and then restart it and it should recognize it. After you do that, you switch to your external camera underneath where it says settings. If you click that, you can come in and adjust some settings here besides pixel aspect ratio. You can leave it by automatic in most cases, but if you want to change it to square pixel or to a different aspect ratio, you can do so there. You've got some other controls here. You can adjust the saturation and the exposure as well. If you come down and click on quick time settings, you've got even more options here. You can adjust the saturation, brightness, and contrast. Over here, it says previews. If you click there, you've got a vectorscope, histogram, and a couple of other things so that you can really come in and find how your image looks. After you have all that setup, go ahead and click okay. That's how you set up your external camera to use in iStopMotion movie."
