Adding Layers to an Image in Adobe Photoshop

" Hi! this is Kyle with Expert Village and I am going to show you some tips on layers with photo shop. Alright, now what I want to do is show you about layers. This is to me the single most important thing in photo shop as far as doing really creative stuff, let us pull it down that way you can see a little bit better what I am talking about here. It you don’t understand layers you are not going to really be able to grasp what you are doing in photoshop. First of all when you see this image you as the viewer just see the image as it is, one flat image, but within the image you have text, you have the fire, you have the stars in the background, you have the hill, the Hollywood sign, the candles, the lights, the upper text. Each one of these elements are layers, now as I begin to disappear the layers you will begin to see each layer as they go and you begin to see the subtle differences of where they are at, there goes the Hollywood, there goes the back, there goes the flame. So, this way you can actually see how I put together this image and it is a very simple way to be able to break down the image. Now, we had another one in the background, another one until it was blank. So, in this context you can see how you really develop the image. "
