"Hey everybody, my name is Matt and I am speaking to you on behalf of Expert Village. I'm going to touch on some texturing now. I'm going to go up and create a polygon sphere here and zoom in on that. Hit five to turn on shading. Now if you want to go up to a window and select "settings preferences" then "preferences" and turn on it says "open attribute editor" and select "in separate window" and save that, it's going to make things easier that your attributes pop up in a separate window. If you hold down your right mouse button over your object and go down to "assign new material" these are all the different types of materials you can add to your object. I'm going to go ahead...we're mostly going to be using a Lambert, which is the default shadier and I'm going to select a blend which is a little bit shinier. It's going to pop up with the attribute editor for your shadier and you can change different things. You can change the color. I'm going to turn on green here. And you can change transparency. A lot of different things you can play around with here. I'm going to go ahead and close that. If you ever want to get back to your attribute editor, you can hit "Control A" . That will bring up your attribute editor you can go over to "blend one" or you can also go up to window and it will say "rendering editors" and select hyper-shade there and that's going to bring up your hyper-shade panel. Here is my blend object. If you middle mouse button that and drag it down to your work area, you can double click it there and also do some editing to your textures there."
