"And then we can apply an effect to this and you can apply effects to any track, just like you can in Photoshop. So, let's right click and go to Effect, Blur and Sharpen. And we'll go to a Gaussian Blur. And any time you select an effect it appears in the Effect Controls Palette again which is right next to the Project Palette. Let's set our Blur to about nine percent. And let's watch our animation so far. Now let's say you didn't want the text to be completely aligned with the layer below it. If you, if you recall, when the text was composited with the original, it moved with the animation. Well, the words slid off the screen as the image slid off the screen. And we don't necessarily want that. So, let's say we want to make our text separate from any other layer. Well, the way to do that is to create a text layer by going to Layer, New, Text. And a separate layer comes up just for text. And a little cursor icon appears. And at that cursor icon is where you can begin typing."
