"But that's one way to do it. Another way to do it, is to just simply drag the item into the timeline, which is at the bottom here in the standard, the standard application configuration. So that's another way to do it. So, let's drop that into our composition. And as soon as we drop it in you'll notice that it updates the timeline. So, since we're talking, since we're moving through the program, let's go to the timeline and talk about that. The timeline is set up like a typical editing timeline, except that you don't see images. What you see is a color representation of your item. And, you do have a scrubbing tool like Premier. Like the video editing product from Adobe. So you can scrub through it, but After Effects is not really set up to do long form, shot by shot editing. It's really set up to do effects and to do effects in different segments and then you drop the segments back into your favorite editing program."
