Today we're going to be learning about AutoDesk Maya. For those of you who don't know what Maya is, it's a piece of software that allows you to create 3D images. First, we're going to learn how to create a model, and then we're going to learn how to put a texture on it. Then we're going to learn how to animate it and eventually render out our creation. Maya is not only used by armatures, but also by studios to create video games as well as feature link films and special effects. Maya is a very complicated program, so today we're going to be just touching on the very basics of it. If you're interested about learning more about Maya, there have been many books written about Maya. You can find them in the computer section of your local book store. Let's go ahead and start learning about Maya.
