Summary: How to resize images using Adobe Image Ready; learn more about photo and image editing software in this free instructional video.
"Hi Gary for Expert Village. First thing we want to do is open up Adobe Photo Shop. And get out pictures ready for the animation. We are going to edit them in Photo Shop first. Go to file and open. And I see here that I have two pictures that I already have ready that I know I want to use for my animation. Open them up, and now we see that these two pictures are a little bit large in size a little too big to be used for and email signature. So I'm going to resize that. We'll start with the first picture. In order to resize it we want to make sure it is selected and it is highlighted in blue. Then we go up to image, and for image size for our example I am going to work in pixels, I'm going to make it 150 in height and I am going to make sure that the constrain proportions box is checked so that any changes I make will keep the same dimension and the picture will not get distorted. You see also that you see the document size in inches. Our picture is going to be about 2 inches x 2 inches. Then I am going to go and click OK. Now we see my picture got smaller. What I want to do is I want to open it up just so I can see the top of the window to make sure I am looking at the picture at the 100% meaning that it is a realistic size. Now I am going to push this over to the side. And I am going to work on my second picture. We will go ahead and resize it just like we did before. We'll go ahead and click on Image, then Image size, and just to keep it consistent, we'll make it 150 pixels in height and make sure the constrain Proportions is still selected and hit OK. And now we see that we have two pictures pretty much definitely the same height. The width on this one is a little bigger. So, what we will do next is get them resized and just make sure they are going to be the exact way we want them for the animation."
