"Now you'll notice that I'm moving the building but the antenna is not moving with it, so we can combine layers so that when we move one layer, another layer moves with it and that's called parenting. And the way to do that is to come to the timeline, select which layer is the parent and which layer is the child, and then once you move the parent layer, the children will follow, so, and we do that by dropping down under this column called parent. We select building, which is the number four layer, and now whenever we move the building, the antenna will move along with it. It just saves us a step. And there we have our basic animation. Of course we will want to play the timing and dress up the background and other things, but this is just a quick and dirty example how layers can move through 3D space. The last thing we'll look at with layers, and something we certainly don't want to forget about is layer lighting."
