"GAUTAM VAID: Hi. This is Gautam Vaid. On behalf of Expert Village, I'm here to tell you about Maya 2008. What we can see here these, this part. These parts, these are called bones. Bones, when we put bones into a character, into a model, that is called rigging. Rigging is the way for which we can put bones. As in real life, we have bones in our body, because of which we've walk, we make any action or something like that. If we take like this key, if some bone is missing with our--if a bone is missing in my hand, so I can't move my hand. The same goes with this also. If any bone is missing from any part of the body, so that part is workless. We can't work with that."
