"JOHN CARSTARPHEN: Hi. This is John Carstarphen for Expert Village. Now, what I've done here is we're looking at the--a seam guide for Michael 3, that's the third version of the Michael model for Poser. And this does come with a seam guide and it's a very useful seam guide and just to give you an idea of where things go in the seam guide, you'll notice that certain areas are designated with color coding. And those color codes indicate where seams meet or where elbows join or where certain folds in the skin happen so that you can accurately paint using the seam guide without having any unsightly lines appearing in your texture map. Because remember, when you apply a texture map to a model, it has to look seamless in three dimensions. It has to look seamless all the way around a model. And so, that's why seam guides are created by unwrapping the mesh and so, you get a full view of every aspect of the mesh and then you rewrap the mesh around the model with your painted version."
