"Adobe Photoshop is a registered trademark of Adobe Systems Incorporated and I am in no way affiliated with Adobe. Hi everybody, I'm going to be touching on curves on this tutorial. Curves are a very cool thing and this is the tool that I probably use the most in Photoshop because I do it on every one of my pictures. In fact, this is the first thing I do to a photograph when I take a picture and bring it in to Photoshop. I click curves and I don't know if you saw that before I clicked the shortcut for that is command or control M. Click on it and it brings up this dialog box right here. And curves are a cool thing because it really helps out your picture and makes it pop so much. The main thing I usually do when I take a picture. I usually bring, I usually make a dot right there. You just click and it makes a dot. And I bring that down just a little bit to help out the blacks. And I make dot up here and I kind of make a little curve right there. And I kind of do something like that. Now this picture is already properly done. But, if I click and do that it kind of gives me another little effect that you can see it's a little overly done. But, as you can tell curves is something that's really cool. It helps your picture pop so much and using the curves instead of the levels gives you a lot more, it just gives you a lot more, what is it called like; it basically helps you out a lot more than levels because it gives you so many more options. That's the work I'm looking for and up here is a preset dialog box that actually, let me bring this down a little bit so you can see. It has all the different presets like color negative. You got cross process. All sorts of crazy stuff and if you hit preview you can actually see what I'm doing. You got darker RGB, increase contrast which is kind of like what I do as you can tell the curve. It's kind of like what I do every time. Lighter contrast. Linear contrast. And this is it. You got a preview button. You can preview what you've done and that is basically it for curves. Now just use this every time and your photograph will pop a lot more. I promise you."
