"Adobe Photoshop is a registered trademark of Adobe Systems Incorporated, and I am in no way affiliated with Adobe. Okay guys, on this tutorial here we're going to be talking about the paint bucket tool. Now most of us know what the paint bucket tool, because we all grew up with that software called Paint, and the paint bucket tool is probably the coolest one on there. What it does is it automatically fills any selection with the color that is selected down over here on the color swatches. The shortcut for paint bucket on Adobe Photoshop is "G", and the reason I know that is because you can see the "G" right there next to photo paint bucket tool. And so, say for instance, we're on that tool and we want the paint bucket, you just hit "G". Now sometimes people who don't know Photoshop will see the gradient tool instead of the paint bucket tool, and people will not realize that there is actually more tools in all these boxes. And the way you know that is by holding and seeing what else is there. Or, you can hold onto the shift key and hit the shortcut key, and it will toggle through everything that is in that box, and there is only the paint bucket and the gradient. So, since we're toggled onto the paint bucket, we're going to use the paint bucket at the moment. The way the paint bucket works is you've got a selection, and you've got your paint bucket, and you basically just click and it automatically fills whatever selection you have with the color that is down here. Sometimes when people realize the color is a little bit off, the reason why that it's really a little bit off, is probably your opacity. As you can see up here, my opacity is at seventy percent, it's not at a hundred, so if you click and drag, it'll bring it to a hundred. So now, we have one hundred percent opacity, and if you like we can just go ahead and fill our little layer there with a complete dark blue at a hundred percent opacity. And the opacity tool is a nice little advanced setting for some people to use, and they don't realize it's there. Also there's the tolerance, which is basically changes the range of colors to fill. And then normal mode is a different type of mode as far as there's darken, multiply, color burn--there's all sorts of stuff you can do in the blend modes; that's more for advanced users. Basically, every tool has extra settings up here at the top, and you always want to look at that. I give that advice to everybody, because people overpass it. And I use this a lot. I use the opacity tool a lot, I use the different blend modes a lot, and it definitely helps and shows up a lot different in other pictures. You can tell the creativity is used just by changing these different little settings up here, really changes the creativity of your image. So, there you go, paint tool. Thank you for listening."
