"Hi! I’m James Adams and I’m here on behalf of expertvillage.com and we’re going to talk about floppy drives; how to install one. So now, I took off the cover before so all you do is you take your floppy, make sure it’s oriented right. Where the disk goes is on top, the button’s on the bottom and you just stick it in. It can be a little tight and not very cooperative sometimes. There we go. You want to make sure that the front of the floppy is nice and flushed with the case so that it’s not sticking out. With some cases it might stick out, but for the most part you want to try to get it as flushed as you can. So basically, now you need to identify where the data cable in the computer goes for the floppy drive. You’ll notice we have three different kinds right here. The small one is the floppy one’s and the big one’s are for CD ROM’s and hard drives, so take the cable. Remember I showed you early that one end of the cable has like a little notch crossed over, well this one doesn’t. This one does not; this one’s just nice and straight. If you can see it right there it’s got a notch right there. So match that notch, the notch on the connector right here. You push in and take the cable. 90% of the time on floppy drives the notch has to be up so take the connector and push it in so now you have the data cable. Last but not least is the power cable. I showed you the power cable earlier, so you just take it and you connect it and you’re done. That’s all it takes to connect a floppy drive."
