"JIMMY HARTMAN: Hi, this is Jimmy Hartman on behalf of Expert Village. And in this clip, we'll be finishing up with the Bevel and Emboss style. Now, we'll go ahead and move on to the Texture slider here and the Texture check box. Go ahead and select that. All that does is overlay a texture onto our object here and it takes the--let me go ahead and select a different texture here. It takes the white and black values of this texture to apply a bevel to it. Your white areas would have the light shinning on the bevel and the black areas would be the shadow. So, as you can see here, according to this pattern, you've got a bevel applied. Now, you've got your Scale of your pattern to kind of increase and decrease the scale. And your Depth which kinda shows how much that bevel comes out here. You can Invert and click this Invert check box. All that does is invert the pattern. So, as you can see, you've just inverted the pattern so the bevel is inverted. The last link or last check box is Link with Layer. Now, when Link with Layer is checked--we're going to click Okay here and get back to our layer. We can select our layer. If you move your object around, the texture stays in that object to the way it was originally applied. Now, let's go back into our styles here and go to Texture and we'll uncheck Link with Layer. We're going to click Okay. And now if you move your layer, you'll see the texture stays where it's at and is no longer linked with your actual object. So that is the Link with Layer button. Snap to Origin snaps the pattern origin to the upper-left corner of this layer. And that is about all the options for our Bevel and Emboss style."
