Summary: Restore the SHOW DESKTOP Icon to the Quick Launch.
Click on START and Choose RUN
Type in REGSVR32 /N /I:U SHELL32.DLL
Press Enter or OK
Restart the Quick Launch by Right click on the taskbar and Choose Toolbars. Uncheck Quick Launch.
Repeat Step 2, but this time CHECK the Quick Launch
