Instructions
  1. Step 1

Many dogs are greatly helped if they can go into a crate. If your dog is small enough or if you have a big enough car to put your dog in the crate with a blanket over it, this is usually enough to stop the dog from getting sick.

  2. Step 2

Condition your dog to car rides by bringing your dog on short rides. The trick is to finish the car ride before your dog vomits. I have worked with some dogs that could only handle going to the end of the driveway and back.

  3. Step 3

Use liquid ginger. Ginger has been used for years to help calm the stomach. I use liquid ginger because it is very easy to give to a dog. You can find liquid ginger in most health food stores.
