"My name is Brandon Sarkis on behalf of Expert Village. Today I'll be showing you some of the new features in Mac OS 10.5 Leopard. The next thing I want to show you are some of the changes they made to iCal. One is that it always displays the correct date on the front now. The old version used to have a set date that wouldn't actually show you the correct date until you opened it and then it would stay with the right date. The new version always has the right date on the desktop, all the time. Which is something we first saw on the iPhone, and I think it's fantastic. So here we see my calendar. The real neat feature they added, which wasn't that revolutionary, but it's just kind of nice, is I can go over here and click on item. For example my Tivo payment. It's due on the 25th. I guess it was due three days ago, so double click that. And it opens up; I can inline edit it right then and there. So I can change anything I need to change just by hitting "edit", and edit anything I've got to do. The neat thing about that is that it used to open a whole new side window, and it wasn't the fastest way to go through it. Like I can go through here and determine that my Telnet GPS payment was due on the 8th. There you go. That's done. And that's pretty much it. There's also a couple other new features they've added. Now there's, you can set up calendar groups. You can actually set up subscribing to other calendars. You can subscribe to web DAV calendars. You can send notifications. You can do group scheduling. You can have someone else be in charge of your calendar in the event you're using it in your business setting, and you need someone else to, say you're on vacation, and want someone else, your secretary or your personal assistant or your number two in command to run the calendar. They can run it through that point which is a pretty neat feature."
