"Hi! This is C.J. South representing expertvillage.com. In this clip, we are just going to continue talking about using the transition editor. Next to that you have your alignment buttons and again you have your start on edit, your center on edit and end on edit. Right now we are centered. Just by clicking that if you notice in the time line now from clicking on it, sorry. The reason that that happened was because the clip was not long enough. It was 2 seconds and I didn't have 2 seconds of footage for it to extend to. So let me go ahead and just put that down to 1 second. Okay, there you go. Now you can see it real time shifting itself between edit points. Again, you can also use quick keys if you prefer but if you are working in the editor, this is usually the quickest way to do it. Next to that is the recent clips pop up. We don't have any recent clips because we haven't put any in but this control lets you choose this from a list of recently used clips. Again, it works the same way the viewer works as it doesn't show the most recent clip of topic, it shows the most recently replaced clip or top. Next to that is the drag hand. Now this drag hand when you grab it, you are pretty much just dragging the filter and you can drag it down into your time line and you can drop it. So that allows you to apply it in your time line. So let's say you make a couple of parameter changes and you want to apply it to a couple of different spots, well you just click drag that and drop it right on those spots. It's really simple. Now the ruler which is right here which is what your play head is on, the ruler displays a close up view of the frames surrounding the transition in your sequence. As you can see, you have the footage up at the top here and as I move the play head, it is auto moving in my sequence as well. So you can see where it terminates to. So the rule of the play head in the transition editor locked to those in time line as you just saw and the time of the scale ruler can be changed by zooming. You can zoom in and out using the zoom tool, so you can zoom in or you can hold option and zoom out. Then you can also do Apple + or command 1 to zoom in and out a couple of quick keys for your there. "
