"This is C.J. South representing expertvillage.com. In this clip, I am just going to continue talking about modifying your transitions. So now to change the duration with time code, you can double click, so let's double click on one of these transitions and go up here to the top to where the time code is at. That is the standard duration. That is the duration it is right now, 1second. I want to change that to 2 seconds. I just put 2-0-0 and hit it, enter, now it's 2 seconds long. You can also change the duration with time line code by right clicking on a transition and then clicking duration. Now you get this duration dialog box that pops up and you can just change it. Let's change it back to 1 second. Okay, 1 second. You can also just highlight it and hit control D; control D will bring that up for you. So let's change that to 1. Okay, there we go. Now it's back to 1 second. Like I said you know the transitions vary depending on their alignment. Now if you want to change the alignment other than just dragging it, what you can do is you can actually go up, one you highlight 1, you can go up to sequence and then you can go down to transition alignment. You see start on, you have center on edit and you also have end on. Then the quick keys for that is option 1, option 2 and option 3 and you can see as I press these, my alignment of this clip changes as you press 1, 2 and 3. You can also change the edit point with the roll tool. Just go ahead and hold on one second, okay, add a transition back to that. Okay, you will notice now that the roll tool is over here in your tool bar but now with your selection tool selected it automatically changes to the roll tool when you are in the center of it. You can click the roll tool and do it but it is a lot easier to just mouse your selection tool over it and then you click and hold and you can see now I am changing where that transition takes place. So it's the same thing as normally how you would move an edit point between clips with the role tool except you are just dragging the transition right along with it. "
