Recent Clips & Generator Pop Up Menus in Final Cut Pro 5

"Hi! This is C.J. South representing expertvillage.com. In this clip, I will show you the recent clips and generator pop up menus. Let's talk about the recent clips and generator pop up menus. These are the two menus that are right down here at the bottom right corner of the window. The one on the left is your recent clip and the one on the right is your generator pop up. The recent clip is just that. It basically shows you the most recent clips. The one at the top is not the one being shown right now. Right now its 5-10 and the one at the top is 5-9. What this shows is the most recently replaced clip which is 5-9. Now if I bring up a new one of the viewer 5-11, now you see that 5-10 is up at the top. By default that is set to a maximum of 10 where you can change that in your preferences. Next to that is the generator pop up and this just has a selection of generators for you such as bars and tone or a slug. You can access text from here. These can all be found elsewhere too but this is a quicker way to access these. For example bars and tone, there are bars and tones. That was PAL. Let me bring up NTSC. There you go. Bars and tone and you can drag that in there and you can also go to text. You can start making text so this is just a quick way to access those special features. "
