"Hi! This is C.J. South representing expertvillage.com. In this clip, I am just going to go over the play head sink pop up menu. Now let's talk about the play head sink pop up menu. That's this middle one right here. What this is, is basically telling how you want the viewer to move in relationship to the canvas and the time line. How do you want the play head which remember is this upside down yellow triangle with the line. How do you want it to be in a relationship to the canvas and the viewer. Now when it is on sync off, your viewer moves independently of your canvas and your time time. They both move independently of each other. When you put it to open, now the image is the same because now it is totally synced up. So now I let go with your 1, the other one does the exact same. As you notice to that I play through, when I go to a different clip from a different tape, the name changes up here in the viewer. It is actually loading up that new clip. This is really good for when you are applying graphics and effects. So before I move on to gang, let me tell you that play head open will be used when using multi clip editing. Over in your viewer, will be the different camera views playing at the exact same time your camera is and you will switch between them. Now gang is similar to open but it doesn't sync it up exactly. It syncs it wherever you tell it to be synced. So for this shot by the way, let me change in the canvas here. Let me change this to over here. So wherever these two play heads are at in the viewer and the canvas, when I hit gang they are now synced up to each other at this particular point. So if I move this you can see how they are both progressing because they are now synced up to each other at these particular frames."
