"Hi! This is C.J. South representing expertvillage.com. In this clip I am going to show you how you can trim your clips using the blade tool. Now I will show you how to trim using the blade tool. If you go over to the tool pallet, you will notice little under half way you have this tool that looks like a razor blade and that is the razor blade tool or the blade tool. If you want to use the keyboard shortcut, you could just hit the b key, b is for blade, so now you have the blade tool. For trimming with the blade tool basically you just go where ever you put that tool, this line, you click, you make a cut. Click, make a cut, click make a cut. So like we covered before you can drag the edge. Instead of dragging it you can always just go to that point and instead of dragging it, I'll put that back, you can just pull out the blade tool, click it and then delete the end off of it. So it is just another way of trimming your clips. Now if you notice there is 2 different selections. You have the standard razor blade tool and then you have this double razor blade tool or the razor blade all tool and what that is let me go ahead and stack some video. Okay, say you've got 3 layers kind of stacked. The blade tool, the standard blade tool, would just cut one at a time. You have to go down to each layer to cut 3 slices in it. With the blade all tool, you just go over where the play head is one click and it cuts everything in line with it. So you don't have to go to each clip to cut it. You can access that over here at the tool pallet by click holding and waiting for this to pop out and going in and selecting it or you can just hit the b key twice. "
