"This is C.J. representing expertvillage.com. In this clip, I am going to show you how to close and move tabs within the Final Cut Pro windows. Welcome to Volume 3. Now if you've gone through Volumes 1 and 2 and you haven't taken a break yet, stop. Take a break. Assimilate the knowledge that's been shared with you here. If you don't, you'll forget it by the end of these training videos. Do a project, do anything, make a music video, cut some family footage together. Just utilize the tools that you've already learned. Now with that said, let's move on. Let's talk about closing and moving tabs. Everyone has tabs. Your time line, your browser, your viewer; they all have tabs out there. Let's start off with the time line. Why don't you go ahead and open up a couple of sequences. You can hit Apple N and make new ones and then they come down here in your time line as tabs. Now let's say you want to close a couple. All you have to do is just right click the tab and click close. It's as simple as that. Another cool feature now is you can actually move these tabs. Just click and hold it and drag a tab off of the window and release it. I just made a totally new window with just that sequence in it now. Just that tab. Now when you are working with sequences in a time line, what you can actually do is now that you are viewing two sequences at once, you can actually click and drag video or audio from one sequence right to the next and it just copies it over. You can just click and drag the tab right back into it or you can just close it. Same with all the other windows. Any tab you can just click, drag and make it's own window; all of them as much as you want and then you can just put them all back. "
