"This is C.J. South representing expertvillage.com. In this clip I am going to show you how you can create a radio like effect using filters for audio. Now I will show you how to apply any effect to a filter. I am going to show you how to create the illusion of like the sound is coming out of a radio. This would be something you can put into a scene where there is a radio playing in the background. So first of all grab your music bring in to time line and then go ahead and double click it and make sure it is up on the viewer. Go over to the filter tab. Come over to effects in the browser, go down to audio filters, Final Cut Pro and then 3 band equalizer. Bring that right into the viewer. Okay, so we are going to utilize the repeat, the play between the in and out points. All right, so make sure that you go to view and that loop playback is enabled. Now come up to mark and go to play in and out. While that is going I am going to be moving these filters to show you exactly what everything does here while it's playing. Now the main one to change is the low gain filter. That's the main one. You'll see when I change that exactly what happens to it. So you can see already its sounding more like its a radio. You know, you just kind of got rid of that, you put the lows all the way down and bring up the frequency of it a little higher. So let's go ahead and fine tune it here. I think that sounds pretty good. Sounds like it is coming out of a radio, in the background. Like a little crackly coming out of a not very good stereo system. It has kind of an almost slight underwater sound to it. Yeah, that's pretty good recreation so you can do a lot of cool things. I suggest that you play around with a lot of the audio filters but for not being an audio specific program, Final Cut Pro does a good job of creating audio effects. "
